Nutritional Microscopy is a method of evaluating blood while it is biologically active. It was developed by Dr. John A. Allocca, a medical research scientist. Blood is obtained by the “finger-stick” method under sterile conditions and observed using Darkfield microscopy. There are many cells and substances that can be seen in biologically active blood, including lipids, indicators of toxicity, oxidation, etc. The Darkfield microscope is an important tool used to evaluate candida albicans overgrowth. The frequent use of antibiotics may deplete the intestinal tract of "friendly" bacteria, resulting in an overgrowth of candida albicans. Chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and a host of other disorders may result. Evaluating and treating migraine and depression will become easy and effective using Biometabolic Therapy. Dr. Allocca spent 28 years developing the migraine protocol. He developed the world's first and only biochemical model of migraine and depression in 1997.

There are a number of inferior quality microscopes that will not provide an adequate image for nutritional microscopy. We highly recommend Nikon high quality microscope and optics.
